Who is the other guy and why is he me?
This is my favorite time of year in the forest. Its spring and our woods are carpeted with wild geranium, leek, spring beauty to name a few. Soaking up an abundance of spring sunshine they flourish isolated and patchy, and with a scarcity of habitat, they bloom on, unaware of their perilous existence. Isn't it a pathetic thought that I may share this appreciation with other people. They might join the movement of people who believe we can save this world from mankind(ourselves), power and self interest do not blind us, we are guilty. We were always guilty and then we convinced ourselves, we are better than the other guy, in reality, we are worse. Promoting and living this illusion, our purpose is not promoting improvement or ideas, only just staying comfortable, fashionable, and thinking this is big stuff!
Are we not too late or is this just as it must be, we can make a difference, failure is not an option.
I suggest, "Living a life as an example to others" or "doing something to help people or nature."
